D-Bone is the plant-based dog chew brand behind this website. We keep this notice short and honest: we collect as little data as possible, we use it only to talk to you, and we never sell it. This page explains exactly what that means in practice.
Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is the D-Bone brand, operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. You can reach us at any time through our contact page or by writing to [contact email].
What data we collect
When you contact us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the reason you are reaching out and your message. If you write to us by email, we receive whatever you choose to send us.
Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records short-term server logs (for example your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit) to keep the site secure and to diagnose errors. These logs are not used to profile you.

Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
To answer your question or request. This is our main purpose. When you ask about products, retail cooperation or press, we use your details to reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), or steps prior to a possible contract with retailers and distributors (Art. 6(1)(b)).
Your consent. The contact form asks you to tick a consent box before sending. You can withdraw that consent at any time — withdrawing does not affect messages already answered (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a), Art. 7).
Legal obligations. Where law requires us to keep or hand over records, we must comply (Art. 6(1)(c)).
How long we keep your data
Contact enquiries are kept only as long as needed to resolve your matter, plus a short period afterwards so we can follow up on the same conversation. After that, your message and email address are deleted. We do not build marketing lists from the contact form.
Who receives your data
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We share it only with the service providers that keep this website running — our hosting provider and the email service that delivers your message to the right inbox — and only to the extent needed for that purpose. Where required by law, we may disclose information to competent authorities.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; have it corrected; have it erased; restrict its processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and object to processing based on legitimate interest. If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
If you believe we are handling your data incorrectly, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection supervisory authority ([authority, e.g. AZOP for Croatia]).

How we protect your data
